Finding your own black turtleneck: an interview

We were delighted to be approached during the summer by leading communications consultancy, Brunswick.

They asked us to take part in an interview to appear in The Brunswick Review. The theme of the issue would be ‘words’ – a topic on which we have many opinions, as you’d expect.

The conversation moved from Steve Jobs to Italo Calvino to Oprah Winfrey – touching on things such as authenticity, person narrative, black turtleneck sweaters and the power of silence.

We also discussed borrowing techniques from acting, such as for breathing, posture and voice – while making the point that we can rehearse and polish our content.

In the end, we agreed, what really matters is making a true personal connection with our audience, and take means making a truly person connection with what we really believe.
